AMANDA Kilner, outgoing ladies captain at Skipton Golf Club, has handed over a cheque for £727.40 to her chosen charity, the Yorkshire Air Ambulance.
It represented the proceeds of fundraising efforts by Amanda and the club’s ladies section throughout 2014.
“I would like to thank all the ladies of Skipton Golf Club for helping me raise funds for such a worthy cause. This has been done through raffles, halfway house donations, a flower arranging evening, some competitions I held throughout the year and much more,” said Amanda.
Tony Doveston, Yorkshire Air Ambulance’s regional fundraising manager, said: “Skipton Golf Club are great supporters of our work, particularly the ladies section. We are thrilled that Amanda has managed to raise so much for us during her year as ladies captain.”
