CLAIRVOYANT Steve Holbrook will be taking people on an emotional rollercoaster at Skipton's Rendezvous Hotel next month.

The former hairdresser hears the voices of loved ones that have passed away and acts as a go-between between this world and the spirit world.

He says this helps people to understand that life continues, just simply in a different dimension.

He first became aware of his special powers as a child and says initially it was an un-nerving experience. "Now it’s as natural as breathing to me," he added.

Steve has published three books - Light in the Darkness, Out of this World and Survival - which offer an insight into the day-to-day life of a working medium as well as Steve's beliefs on spiritualism.

Over the years, he has raised tens of thousands of pounds for charities, including £50,000 for his local hospice in Wakefield, £5,000 for Macmillan Cancer Support, and almost £21,000 for PACT – a charity that helps terminally ill children and their parents across the country.

The Rendezvous event will be held on Thursday, April 23, at 7.30pm and tickets costing £16 are available by ringing 01274 730000 (option 1) or pay on the door.
