CURRERGATE Nursing Home in Steeton has been awarded the prestigious Gold Standard Framework accreditation.
The Jacobean-style Grade II listed building, which is set in over four acres of landscaped gardens, is owned and operated by Saltaire-based Czajka Care Group and provides care for 38 elderly residents aged over 65.
The Gold Standard Framework is the leading provider of quality improvement, accredited, evidenced-based end of life care training for frontline health and social care staff in the UK.
As part of the award, staff completed a nine-month training programme before the nursing home was put through a rigorous accreditation process that assessed 20 key aspects of its operations with inspectors carrying out a review of the standard of care that residents receive.
Konrad Czajka, managing director of Czajka Care Group, said: “We’re delighted to be awarded with this coveted accreditation, which is widely recognised as the most rigorous inspection programme in the care industry.
"To have our high standards recognised and rewarded by this independent organisation is a huge coup and reinforces how our residents and their families are at the centre of everything we do.”
The care group’s Beanlands Nursing Home in Cross Hills has also gained the Gold Standard Framework and the company now plans to roll the scheme out across its three remaining homes, which are located in Nab Wood near Shipley.
