AN urgent meeting has been called to discuss the sale of Skipton's White Rose Club.
The club, on Newmarket Street, closed earlier this year, a victim of rising overheads and wages.
Now members are being urged to attend an extraordinary meeting at the club next Sunday, May 15, at noon.
The club was established in 1923 as the Skipton National Association of Discharged Sailors and Soldiers, changing shortly afterwards to the Royal British Legion Club. In March 1999, it became the White Rose Club.
