CONSERVATIVE Richard Foster, leader of Craven District Council, has been re-elected to the Grassington ward. Wendy Hull has retained her seat for the Conservatives in Settle and Ribblebanks, and fellow Conservative, David Ireton has also retained his seat in Ingleton and Clapham. Paul Whitaker has taken Skipton North for the Conservatives from previous Independent incumbent, John Kerwin-Davey. Eric Jaquin, for the Liberal Democrats, has been re-elected to the Skipton East seat, and Independent councillor Andy Solloway has kept his seat in Skipton South. Chris Rose, for Labour has won the Skipton West seat, previously held by Paul English, who has retired from the council. William Mercer, for Labour, has won the Cowling seat, previously held by Ady Green. Tanya Graham, for the Conservatives won the Upper Wharfedale seat and Pat Fairbank was re-elected to the Aire Valley and Lothersdale for the Conservatives. David Pighills has been elected to Barden Fell for the Independents, taking the seat from Conservative, Gill Quinn.
