FLOWING locks of a Barnoldswick girl have been donated to charity.

Eleven-year-old West Craven High School student, Crystal Collinge, decided to donate all 13 inches of her long hair to the Little Princess Trust.

The charity provides real hair wigs, free of charge, for boys and girls across the UK suffering with hair loss from cancer treatments and alopecia.

Inspired by just how many local people have been affected by cancer, Crystal made the bold decision to make the cut.

She is now a cut above with her new 'Pixie cut' alongside the likes of One Direction's Harry Styles, who recently donated his locks with the charity's #hairtospare campaign.

"I'm so very proud of what Crystal has done here," said Gail Hargreaves, Crystal's English teacher. "She has very boldly put others before herself. She is definitely a role-model for her peers."
