KEEN walkers of the North Craven Strollers will be taking part in the National Walkabout Festival, a national event organised by Walking for Health for Wednesday, September 7, with a walk from Settle.

Group chairman Dan Bavington said: “The Walkabout Festival highlights the health benefits and enjoyment of walking. We’re inviting everyone to come and join us to get a taste of what we do. People make friends, improve their well-being and get to see new places in the area. We are a very friendly and welcoming group and we encourage everyone to walk at a pace that suits them.”

The group provides easy, free, gentle regular walks of between 30 and 90 minutes in the Settle and Gargrave-Hellfield areas. It has over 60 registered members and is run entirely by volunteers.

The Settle walk will start at 1.20pm from the Millennium Garden near Booths Car Park. For more information contact ncravenstrollers@yahoo.co.uk or 01729 824537.
