MEMBERS of a club in Craven which helps people to improve their speaking skills took to the streets of Skipton with sandwich boards to publicise the first meeting of its new season.
Craven Speakers Club will next meet on Monday, September 12, at 28 Otley Street, in Skipton, and is ready to welcome anyone who wishes to learn more about speaking in public.
Member Judith Allinson said: "It is a brilliant, fun, stimulating club where people come to learn about improving their speaking skills. People don’t have to talk at all - but for those who do, the practice is invaluable.
"Whether you are a young manager who has to hold meetings for your staff, or a student needing to give a talk at school or college, we can help you. Maybe you need to give a wedding speech - or maybe you just fancy an interesting evening out."
