A SUNNY day and a large turnout marked Rathmell Young Farmers Club's 72nd Annual Show.

Taking supreme champion in the Sheep Section was James Lambert with his Continental Ram and Reserve Champion going to Ronan Frankland with his Mule Ewe. In the cattle section, which had been judged on-farm, Champion Dairy Animal went to Jonathan Booth with his dairy cow and Reserve Champion to Laura Robinson for her dairy heifer.

In the indoor classes there was a high number of entries and an excellent standard, said organisers.

Prizes were announced by the club chairman James Bradley and Tom Dean, and were presented by the club president Anne Groves.

A presentation was also made to Laura Robinson as it was her last Show as a member of Rathmell YFC to which she has been dedicated over the many years.

A vote of thanks to all judges, stewards, sponsors and supporters was given by James Bradley.
