THRILLING harness-racing is due to take place this weekend at Hellifield Peel Park, Hellifield.
Sunday's (June 25) annual event, run by Hellifield Harness Racing Association, will feature several races, with the first taking place at 2pm.
Horses race around a circuit of up to one and a quarter miles, with owners bagging a purse of up to £800 and trophies.
Race-goers can bet on the races via event book makers, and also enjoy on site refreshments, including a bar.
Entry to the family, community event is £10, with under-10s admitted for free.
All races are run under British Harness Racing Club (BHRC) rules.
The event supports local charities.
