CONONLEY rider Ian Taylor (Jedi Cycle Sport) and Lucy Horrocks (Hope Factory Racing) of Barnoldswick both picked up runners-up finishes in the second round of the National Trophy Cyclo-Cross Series at Southampton Sports Centre.
Taylor was only four seconds adrift of Darren Atkins at the close of the veterans men's 40-49 years race as the lead changed hands on the final lap, losing the overall leader's blue jersey.
But Horrocks retained hers, despite being beaten by Maddie Gammons in the under-16 girls.
