Settle United scored twice in extra time to defeat Ingleton in the second round of the Blue Fin Craven FA Challenge Cup.

The West Riding County FA Trophy holders were indebted to two-goal striker Liam Swanson for their hard-earned 2-1 victory.

After going behind early in extra-time, Ingleton levelled with a Dan Tyrer header, but Swanson had the last word.

Grassington United were another Mastab’s Craven League Premier Division side who were made to work hard for their win.

They defeated Grindleton 2-0 in a match where they took the lead with a deflected shot through a crowded penalty area. Jeremy Gee added the second goal.

Skipton Town had no trouble seeing off competition newcomers Barlick Wanderers. Despite squandering a number of chances, they won 8-0. Jake Thompson (2), Andy Nicholson (2), Declan King, Sam Kimberley, Will Knight and an own goal made up the Town tally.

Goalkeeper Asa Emsley made some fine saves for Wanderers.

Rimington, winners of the Norman Pratt trophy for the past three years have been knocked out of this season’s competition. They were defeated 4-1 by Ingleton.
