WHARFEDALE coach admits he has never known an injury crisis like it but is not offering that up as an excuse for their well below-par display at home to Macclesfield last Saturday.

The Greens lost 32-14 at home to the bottom club, who have already been relegated, and Feeley said: "It was an extremely disappointing day, and three things came together.

"Firstly, we are suffering terrible injuries; secondly, we lost all direction, and thirdly Macclesfield definitely came to take our scalp and we could not match them, and that was the most disappointing thing of all.

"They played well but I would expect a Wharfedale side that were on their game to beat them, and last Saturday's performance was not acceptable."

As for the injuries, Feeley said: "Josh Prell went down in the warm-up with a foot injury, Jamie Guy (hamstring) went down halfway through the first half, and we also lost Oli Cicognini (hamstring), Matt Dudman, and Jake Armstrong (dead leg).

However, Guy and Armstrong are named in the starting line-up for the trip to Esher, although Cicognini misses out for the first time this season.

His absence as the Greens bid for a fourth straight victory over the Surrey hosts, having done the double narrowly last season and beaten them 8-6 at The Avenue in February, gives James Druce a chance to emulate his fine performance at Richmond.

Huw Morgan starts in the centre in partnership with Cameron Hudson, Tom Davidson moving to full back, with Lloyd Davies on the wing. Ian Larkin and Harry Bullough, recovering from injury, are named on the bench.

Wharfedale: Tom Davidson, Lloyd Davies, Huw Morgan, Cameron Hudson, James Druce; Jamie Guy, James Doherty (c); Matt Beesley, Dan Stockdale, Jake Armstrong, Adam Howard, Simon Willet, Jack Barnard, Dan Solomi, Josh Burridge. Replacements: Chris Steel, Ian Larkin, Joe Altham, Jim Mason, Harry Bullough.
