SKIPTON were unlucky losers in a tightly-fought West Riding League game.
They applied the early pressure with Chloe Nettleton surging down the right and delivering a cross which resulted in Hannah Whitlam forcing the keeper to make a fine save.
Skipton continued to create chances with Sophie Wolstenholme, April Irlam and Jodie Pepper patrolling the midfield, breaking up play and initiating attacks.
Skipton went in at half-time a goal down after a shot from a half-cleared corner took a deflection to wrong foot Kayleigh Hindle.
In the second half, Skipton looked for the equaliser while Amber Gaunt and Tia Eyles were unruffled in defence.
Woodkirk capitalised on a moment's lack of concentration to secure a second goal and wrap up the points.
