LAUREN Hanson won two gold medals and set a new championship record as Skipton's swimmer had a successful time in the third of the 2015 Airedale & Wharfedale District Amateur Swimming Association Gala series.

Hanson's record-breaking swim came in the open two length butterfly while her other victory was achieved in the girls 15 and over four length breaststroke.

Hanson was also part of the victorious Skipton A team which set a new record in the girls 15 years and over 4 x 2 length medley where she teamed up with Ellie Phillip, Millie Sharp and club captain Lucy Ward.

Skipton had five more individual winners with Hermione Roe leading the field home in the girls 9-10 years two length freestyle, Ned Sharp winning the boys 11/12 years 4 x 1 individual medley, Megan Baines triumphing in the girls 11/12 years 4 x 1 individual medley, while in the 13/14 age group, Ethan Camsey won gold in the boys four-length backstroke and Bea Waller was first in the girls' equivalent event.

Skipton had two further relay successes. in the nine-ten age group. Will Oliver, Harvey Day, Harvey Pennington, and Bradley Brennand won the boys 4 x 1 freestyle and the girls followed suit through Hermione Roe, Lily Mae Pratt, Carla Brown and Ella Eastwood.

Danielle Burrows won a silver medal in the boys 13/14 years four length backstroke while Harvey Pennington, boys 9/10yrs two length freestyle, Mark Mahoney, boys 15yrs/over four length breaststroke and men’s open two length butterfly, Madison Turner, girls 11/12yrs 4 x 1 individual medley,

Ellie Phillip, ladies open two length butterfly, and the boys nine/ten years 4 x 1 freestyle team of Harvey Jones, Harry Kaminski, Oscar Flanagan and Jacob Forrest all won bronze medals.
