STEETON saw their home West Riding County Amateur League Premier Division Cup tie with Lepton Highlanders fall foul of the weather last Saturday morning but still saw some action as they faced non-league Barnoldswick Town on the 4G surface in Nelson.
The North West Counties League side went into a 2-0 lead through Mark Threlfall and new signing Danny Forrest, Keighley's former Bradford City striker.
Lee Reilly neatly lobbed the home keeper after good work from Aaron Hollindrake and Steeton got a late leveller when Steve Pearson bundled home in injury time.
Things could have been even better for the Chevrons had Andy Briggs shot not cannoned back off the post and Aaron Abbas had a great chance following good work from Reilly.
Steeton again continued with their policy of giving younger players a chance, with 16-year-old Ben Clarkson making a good impression in the second period.
Steeton are hoping the weather improves for this Saturday, when the Lepton Highlanders game has been rescheduled at Summerhill Lane (1.45pm).
However, they have also provisonally booked the 3G pitch at University Academy Keighley in case their pitch is still unfit. Full updates will be posted on the club's website and social networking sites.
