TED Mason and Helen Glover have maintained their dominance of the Burnsall Classic Fell Race.

Wharfedale Harrier Mason took the men's crown for a third time, while Keighley & Craven AC member Glover triumphed for the fourth time in the ladies' race.

Mason was almost a minute clear of men's road race defending champion Ian Holmes (Bingley Harriers), winning in 14min 58sec.

Holmes, who was also the leading men's veteran 50, finished in 15min 56sec, while third was Penistone Fell Runners' Andy Swift in 16:14, well clear of the unattached Fred Bosomworth, who was fourth in 17:07.

Leading veteran 40 was Ben Timbers (Keighley & Craven AC) in ninth in 18:29, while Glover came 15th overall in 19:16.

Second was leading female veteran 40 Steph Curtis (Pennine Fell Runners) in 20:16, 20 seconds in front of third-placed Sara Willhoit (Mercia Fell Runners).

Leading Barlick Fell Runner was Richard Lowther in 16th in 19:26.

However, that club did win the Burnsall Ten-Mile Road Race via Thomas Corrigan in 55min 57sec, ahead of Keighley & Craven AC duo Will Smith (leading male veteran 40) and Craig Shearer in 56:42 and 56.44 respectively.

Leading lady was Halifax Harriers' Sarah Cumber (top female veteran 40) in 12th in 1:05.00, while Jen Hird (Barlick Fell Runners) was third in 1:12.27, behind Baildon Runners' Emma Stoney in 1:10.33.

Leading female veteran 50 was Skipton AC's Karen Chown in 34th in 1:13.46, who was fourth lady home.
